It’s yet another of Roald Dahl’s short story collections (I’m clearly a bit obsessed), but I must admit it’s been my least favourite of the ones I’ve read (the others being Kiss Kiss and Switch Bitch).
There were still some gems in here – and also a couple of repeats from the other collections, which shows that I may be coming full circle!
This one was a selection for teenagers, though, so perhaps it’s a good call for anyone wanting some tamer stories! The Great Automatic Grammatizator itself is my favourite story – it’s about a man who invents a machine that is able to write stories, overtaking all actual authors (GULP!)
