If you haven’t, you’ve almost certainly read Jojo Moyes’ first novel that it follows on from: Me Before You.
I loved the first book – and when I say loved I do mean sobbed myself into a weary state of content – and so I was both excited and wary of the second. Unfortunately, this wasn’t unjustified.
In itself, it’s a good, entertaining read that’s worth the time, but I won’t pretend I wasn’t disappointed by the quality of its storyline – which is to be expected when Me Before You ended so definitively. Still Me, the third book in the series, is excellent though so you need to read this to get there.
