Jamie Oliver’s Italy recipe book is fabulous – and so is his show on channel 4, showing us the different regions of Italy he went to find these recipes and the old Italian Nonna’s who taught him. I got a copy signed by him at Cardiff’s Waterstones and I wasn’t expecting to be so damn star-struck!
The book itself is great – it’s Jamie’s simple style that never requires you to have more ingredients than a normal person would have, but has the coolest little tricks (like making pasta shapes with your colander!)
It’s well laid out, which I reckon is important although I don’t usually review recipe books. But there’s a first time for everything, and this book is a proud first.
