On his 100th birthday, Allan Karlsson decides that instead of attending the celebrations at the nursing home, he is going to climb out of his window and disappear – in his slippers, too.
His adventures are crazy and funny, but not necessarily as crazy or funny as the adventures throughout his fascinating life which are interwoven with historical figures and events.
There were moments where the information was very dense, but those were often outweighed by the really good stuff! Jonas Jonasson’s other books are all in my To-Be-Read pile.
