Anne Of Green Gables

By Megan Thomas

I read L.M Montgomery’s childhood classic as an adult, as a sort of compensatory “I didn’t read enough children’s classics as a child”, and I really enjoyed it.

It’s about Anne Shirley and her move from an orphanage to the country house called Green Gables to stay with the Cuthbert family. She’s not quite what they expected, but she loves it there and will try her best to convince them to let her stay. This freckled mischief-maker will remind you of how to love being alive.
