Kiss Kiss

By Megan Thomas

Considering what a Roald Dahl fan I have always been, I’m really surprised it took me so long to read his adult literature. Who’d have thought the transition from Matilda the delightful bookworm to a tale about Hitler’s birth would run so seamlessly?

Dahl’s stories are wicked and funny with outrageous plot twists and sinister characters that represent all that is dark and twisted in humanity. This is one of a few of his collections of short stories – my very battered copy.

When I’m really busy, I find myself constantly starting and abandoning books (which does wonders for my anxiety!) so I’ve found reading these short pieces keeps me reading a bite-sized story each night. Great for commuter reading, too!
