By Megan Thomas

A Pamela Power book: my favourite one. It’s about a 12-year-old girl who, after being announced as head girl, is pushed from a balcony.
Rather, it’s about the mother and family of the girl who is accused of pushing her. What I love about this is watching how a very serious yet frivolous situation ricochets around in an insular society. We delve into the lives of the people involved, and hold a magnifying glass to their insecurities and the pressures that can lead to such a believable whodunit about little girls.
