Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro is one of not-that-many books I’ve read multiple times. It’s about so much more than any brief summary I can give you, like love, betrayal, and the tumultuous boundaries of humanity. But I think, if you haven’t already seen the film, then I’ll hold back on a full plot summary.
The reading experience (the first time round, at least) is greatly enhanced by discovering the details of the mind-blowing scientific experimentation occurring in what, on the surface, seems like your run-of-the-mill English countryside boarding school.
