I’m not going to say, “Have you read the Wales Lonely Planet guide?” because it seems highly unlikely, but I will say: do you use lonely planet guides?
In the age of Google, physical guides often seem as useful as a spork – sort of cool but probably an unnecessary use of your money. However, I’ve always found that a good old Lonely Planet guide really fills out the gaps that a lot of online platforms have, especially when it comes to looking for outdoor activities and very specific areas. So before your next trip, maybe consider splashing out – it’ll also save the day when your phone dies or you’re lost in the Brecon Beacons without any signal (may or may not be drawing from experience on that one!)
