I guess I’d describe this as an allegorical self-help book… but stay with me, now. You’ll most likely read Who Moved My Cheese in one sitting, but you’ll spend years thinking about it.
There are four characters. Sniff and Scurry are two mice, and Hem and Haw are two little people. All four characters live in a maze and have a cheese supply (something I wish I had, to be honest) – only one day it’s moved, and they deal with things very differently. It’s sweet, but it’s also inspiring. It will make you consider your approach to life, and the cheese it has to offer.
And case you’ve somehow missed this: the cheese is a metaphor – and there’s a sentence I didn’t imagine I’d be typing today!
